Outdoor Advertising Awards recognises excellence in media planning and poster design.

The advertising community was out in force on Thursday April 22nd for the 23rd Outdoor Advertising Awards in Dublin's Shelbourne Hotel.

The big winners on the night were Cawley Nea/TBWA who won both the Grand Prix and the Best Outdoor Campaign with an expenditure of more than €150,000 for their Murphy’s Stout campaign.

The format of the Outdoor awards changed this year with a view to capturing in greater detail the effectiveness of the Outdoor medium. The 2010 Awards recognise excellence in the strategic and tactical planning of Out of Home media campaigns as well as creativity in poster design.

The Awards organisers and judges were very impressed with the high quality of the submissions from advertisers, media agencies and advertising agencies. Over 150 entries were received in total. A large response in the Most Innovative category showcased some particularly effective examples of Outdoor working hand in hand with new technology.
